March was an exceptionally busy month here at ALPs with access to counselling provided to the community right cross the province.
We collated the figures for the month and were astounded to find that access has been provided for 42 individual Counselling sessions
Whilst Alps itself is not a Counselling provider we have acquired the assistance of fully accredited Counselling providers to assist us in meeting the need within the community for these services. Currently they are working through ourselves to offer assistance to the community in
Portglenone, Belfast, Downpatrick, Crossgar, Killough, Kilcleif, Kilrea, Ballinascreen, Bangor, Lisburn, Ardglass, North Down, Derry City, Greenlough, Magherafelt, Ballinascreen, Draperstown, Toombridge, Dungiven, Claudy and Bellaghy.
In addition to access to counselling we have had 32 referrals for support for other services and have made 16 home visits through our peer mentoring activities.
We are truly thankful to be in this position of offering assistance to those in our community that require it and are indebted to everyone who continues to support us with our work.
Over the coming weeks we intend to collate all our work over the past 6 months within your community and once completed we look forward to sharing all this information with you.
