Selected from thousands of nominations, Edmund Rice College has been honoured as one of 102 schools for The Pearson National Teaching Awards silver winners!
Edmund Rice College was honoured with a Silver Award in The Lockdown Hero Award for Learner and Community Support for their outstanding commitment to changing the lives of the children they work with every day.
The college responded to the Covid-19 pandemic by introducing a range of initiatives to provide support to pupils, parents, and the wider community, including the Community Hub which provides a digital toolkit of support on issues such as Special Educational Needs, Wellbeing and Mental Health.
ALPS is one of the community partners in the school and supported the community Hub on Wellbeing throughout the Covid pandemic.
We extend our congratulations to Mr Paul Berne Principal, ColetteVeronica Deery Head of Community and Founder of the Community Hub and all the staff and pupils on winning this prestigious award and are delighted to have had Frank present yesterday with them as they received their accolade.
